About the artist
My name is Isaac Ritzer, and I am a fine artist currently based in Denver Colorado.
For as long as I can remember, I have been a creative person with a profound interest in art and drawing. I drew inspiration from my love of nature, and from the rich artistic and architectural heritage of the Catholic faith in which I was raised. My parents, to whom I owe so much, nurtured my creativity at every opportunity, encouraging me in my many projects throughout the years.
My artistic pursuits began in earnest in college under the guidance and mentorship of Prof. Julio Suarez. I received instruction in the fundamentals of artistic technique and craftsmanship. During this time, I also attended two workshops at the Florence Academy of Art, where I further studied portraiture and figure drawing.
I completed my BA from Hillsdale College in 2024, having double majored in art and history. Since then, I have continued my development as an artist by attending a workshop at the Glasgow Academy of Art, and traveled and painted across Europe. I enjoy many types of art across several mediums, but I continue to be drawn more and more towards portraiture, which I feel enables the artist to capture the beauty of the human person in a unique way.
